[ S4" SOBS c c fi..cnsrA Gentlemen, This office has been retained by Mr. and Mrs. Boggs to recover damages suffered by them for non-compliance with the Contra Costa County Building Code, by Bas Homes, and by the failure of the County Inspectors to properly inspect a non-conforming driveway grade, and approving such non-conforming construction without actually visiting the sight. On or about March, 1984 , the Boggs contracted with Bas Homes to build then a home in the Blackhawk Develop- ment. The home was completed by the Contractor and a final inspection and Notice of Completion was filed in a timely manner; however, the Boggs were unable to park their car in the driveway. without scraping each end of the car when going into and out of the driveway. In December, 1985, Mr. Boggs went to the Community Develop- ment Department of the County, and he discovered that the driveway had not been inspected.
