HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07161985 - 1.93 TO BOARD OF SUPERVISORS 1-093 FROM: Ida Daniel Berk, Director, Corrmunity Services Department Contra ltra Costa DATE: June 20, 1985 C SUBJECT: AUIHORIZATION `Ili EXECUTE AMQMMENT NUMER ONE FOR THE CY 1985 V , ENERGY CRISIS INSTRUCTION PROGRAM CONTRACT (#84 BD-2152) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(_S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDED ACTION Authorize Chairman, Board of Supervisors to execute amendment number one for the CY 1985 Energy- Crisis Intervention Program (Contract #84BD-2152) with the State Office of Economic Opportunity (SOEO) increasing the present ECIP allocation by $171,786.00, from $365,814.00 to $537,600.00. FINANCIAL IMPACT If approved, said amendment will increase the department's proposed FY1985-1986 Budget an additional $171,786.00, frau $2,242,714.00 to $2,414,500.00. An appropriation adjustment will follow this request upon Baird authorization. BACKGROUND On January 15, 1985, the Board of Supervisors authorized and executed contract #84 BD-2152 with the State Office of Economic Opportunity to provide weather- ization services to eligible fixed/low-income County residents.for thea., contract period of January 1, 1985 to December 31, 1985. This amendrent, if zpproved, will permit the Department to assist an additional 565 County residents in utility bill payments, bringing the amended total to 1,329. This contract amendment was reviewed by County Counsel as to form. No County funds are involved in this request.
