RESOLUTION NO. 8 5/4 2 5
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES that:
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County has adopted Ordinance
No. 68-10 (Ord. C. 1008-2.002 et seq.) which provides for the establishment of
Underground Utility Districts in those areas of the County where the public
health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of the overhead distribution
system frau the public streets, alleys or ways, and the replacement thereof with
an underground system.
It is the intention of this Board to conduct a public hearing to ascertain
whether the public health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of the overhead
distribution system fram the public street, alleys or ways of the unincorporated
area along Appian Way from San Pablo Dam Read to Argyle Road, and on Sobrante .
Avenue between Appian Way and Valley View Road, and on Valley View Road frau 150'
west of Sunset Drive to Appian Way, all in the El Sobrante Area shown on the
attached map marked Exhibit "A".
At 10:30 a.m. , on Tuesday, August 20, 1985, in the Chambers of the
Board of Supervisors, County Administration Building, Martinez, California, this
Board will conduct the said public hearing on the proposed establishment of
Underground Utility District No. 21 in the area hereinabove described and at that
time will hear the testimony of all interested persons for or against the estab-
lishment of this zone and if the roads in this area are extensively used by the
general public and carry a heavy volume of pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
. The Clerk is directed to notifyall affected, property owners as shown
on the last equalized assessment rolls and, utilities concerned by mail of the
time and place of such hearing at least ten (10) days prior to the date thereof.
