RESOLUTION NO. 85/ 4 01
SUBJECT: Intention to Annex the Pleasant Hill BART Station Zone 7 to
Assessment District 1979(3) (LL-2) , Walnut Creek/Pleasant Hill
Area.
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES:
1. The Board intends to order the annexation of the Pleasant
Hill BART Station Redevelopment Project Area zone to Landscape and Lighting
Assessment District 1979-3 (LL-2) and to levy and collect assessments
pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972.
2. The improvements to be made in this assessment district
zone are generally described as follows:
The maintenance of lighting and landscaping features
installed as a part of the Redevelopment Project include, but are not
limited to, trees, shrubs, ground cover, irrigation systems, street
furniture, decorative signs, paving, paths, fountains, statuary, crossing
appurtenances and the necessary provision of electricity, water, sweeping
and labor.
3. This annexation to the assessment district shall be. known
as "Assessment District 1979-3, Pleasant Hill BART Zone 7 Contra Costa
County, California." The general location of the assessment district
zone is in the Pleasant Hill BART Station Redevelopment Project Area and
includes the land shown on the map designated "Assessment Diagram, Assess-
ment District 1979-3, Pleasant Hill BART Zone, Contra Costa County,
California" which is on file with the Clerk of the Board.
4. In accordance with the Board' s resolution initiating
proceedings, the Public Works Director has filed with the Clerk of the
Board the report required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. All
interested persons are referred to that report for a full and detailed
description of the improvements, the boundaries of the assessment district
zone and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots and parcels of land
within the assessment district zone.
5. On Tuesday, the 30th day of July, 1985, at the hour of
10:30 a.m. , the Board of Supervisors will conduct a-public hearing on the
annexation of this zone to the assesment district and the levy .of the
proposed assessment. The hearing will be held at the meeting place of the
Board, located in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 651 Pine Street,
Martinez, California.
6. The Clerk of the Board is authorized and directed to give
notice of the hearing required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972.
