REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: (Continued) Recently the Department received a letter from the Superintendent stating that he intends not to renew the agreement for Miller Center West which expires June 30, 1985, as administration of the education program at Miller West is being transferred to Richmond Unified School District. In addition, the Superintendent intends to discontinue use of the classrooms at Miller Center East, effective July 31, 1985. Therefore, the purpose of this extension is to continue the program at George Miller East for an additional month with a payment of $2,933 to County. The Department is currently negotiating with other agencies to fill the space -being vacated by the Superintendent. This extension agreement has been approved as to legal form by County Counsel's Office.
