HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06251985 - X.21 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on June 25, 1985 , by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson, and Fanden NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor Powers ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Continuing Employees' Terms ) and Conditions of Employment ) Res. 85/378 The Contra Costa County Board of.Supervisors in all of its capacities as the governing body of this County and of the Districts and Agencies of which it is the governing body, RESOLVES THAT: 1. Memoranda of Understanding with a number of County organiza- tions, and the resolutions relating to management and unrepresented employees, and exempt medical staff, by their terms, will expire as of June 30, 1985, and no new memoranda have been agreed to as of this date and this Board will not meet on either July 2, 1985 or July 9,1985. 2. In order for the County to continue to compensate its employees, it is necessary that the existing memoranda of understanding and resolutions be temporarily continued in force and effect, pending further action by this Board. 3. Therefore, this Board orders that the terms and conditions of employment contained in the memoranda of understanding with the employee organizations set forth in Exhibit A hereto, and incorporated herein, and the terms and conditions of employment for management employees and unrepresented employees set forth in Resolution No. 84/424, and the terms and conditions of employment for exempt medical staff set forth in Resolution No. 84/362, are continued in full force and effect from July 1, 1985 subject to such new terms and conditions of employment as may be approved by this Board, or until this Resolution is terminated by the Board, whichever occurs first. 4. The Employee Relations Officer shall give notice of this Resolution to all recognized employee organizations. 5'. To the extent that the subjects of this Resolution are within the scope of representation under the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act (Government Code §§3500, et seq. ), this Board offers to meet with any recognized employee organization upon request con- cerning this resolution. 6.
