SUBJECT: Approve License Agreement for Temporary Parking
SPECIFIC REQUESTS(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION 7891-3540
1. Recommended Action: APPROVE License Agreement with Taylor Woodrow of California,
Inc. ; AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to draw a warrant for $1,100.00 in favor of
same and deliver to the County Real Property Division for processing; AUTHORIZE the
Executive Director to sign the License on behalf of the Agency.
2. Financial Impact: $1,100. Adequate funds are currently available from the Agency
budget.
3. Reasons for Recommendations: Taylor Woodrow of California, Inc. has agreed to
allow the Agency to develop a temporary parking area on their Oak Court, Walnut
Creek property. This area is needed to replace the parking area that will be
lost during construction activities by the Agency within the Pleasant Hill BARTD
Station parking lot.
4. Background: The construction of the road infrastructure within the Redevelopment
Area will necessitate a revamping of the access to the Pleasant Hill BARTD
Station and the parking layout. The proposed improvements necessitated a temporary
replacement of the parking area to minimize adverse impact on BARTD users during
this work.
5. Consequences of Negative Action: There is no other site of sufficient size in
the immediate area that could be utilized for temporary parking. Failure to
provide the parking would create a parking situation worse than already exists.
