This law went into effect in January 1985 but is apparently not being fully implemented in Contra Costa County. There is no central agency in our county serving as a clearinghouse for collection of statistics on reported abuse and there has not been any coordinated effort to dissemnate information about SB 1210. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Ask the County Administrator, County Counsel, and the Social Services Director to review this legislation . and file state claim or legal action if necessary and appropriate to get funds to implement the program.
