Adopted this Order on May 14, 1985 , by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers , Schroder , McPeak, Torlakson, Fanden
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Notice of Possible Termination of Ambulance
Contract for Emergency Response Area 1
Supervisor Robert I . Schroder brought to the attention of
the Board a letter (dated April 26, 1985) he had received from Mark
Finucane, Health Services Director , advising that the owners of
Cadillac Ambulance Services have informed the Health Services
Department that they will no longer be able to meet the requirements
of their ambulance service agreement for Emergency Response Area 1
As a result of the loss of the Kaiser Permanente Ambulance contract ,
resulting in an estimated revenue loss to Cadillac of $600 ,000 per
year . A suggestion was proposed by Cadillac that the County make up
this loss or that they would serve notice to terminate the contract
in 60 days .
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the letter of the Health
Services Director is REFERRED to the County Administrator and
Finance Committee (Supervisors McPeak and Schroder) .
