Michael Walford, Public Works Director DATE: March 26, 1985 SUBJECT: FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE DATED MAY 7, 1974, WITH THE CITY OF PINOLE FOR USE OF VACANT-,LAND AT 2935 PINOLE VALLEY ROAD, PINOLE Fv SPECIFIC REQUESTS(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) BACKGROUND D JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the County hereby amend the Lease dated May 7, 1984, with the City of Pinole for the vacant land at 2935 Pinole Valley Road, Pinole, under the terms and conditions as more particularly set forth in said Lease. II. Financial Impact: N/A III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: On May 7, 1974, the County entered into a 15-year lease with the City of Pinole for the construction of tennis courts on 29,800 square feet of County-owned vacant land adjacent to Pinole Public Library at 2935 Pinole Valley Road. The City of Pinole requested an amendment to the lease, increasing the lease area by 4,000 square feet adjacent to the courts to allow for a spectator viewing platform. County Librarian has determined additional area is excess to Library needs. The Pinole Tennis Club requested the additional area and paid a County Administra- tive Charge of $200.00. IV.
