SUBJECT: General Plan Amendment Request for.Pacific Rim Development Corporation
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize a General Plan review as requested by Mr. Philip L. Smith, .Chief Executive Officer,
Pacific Rim. Development Corporation, for approximately 55 acres just southwest of the
intersection of Bollinger Canyon Road with Alcosta Blvd., in the San Ramon area. In authorizing
this review, staff will proceed with a report which will then be scheduled for public hearing
before the San Ramon Valley Area Planning Commission. Following this the Commission will
forward their recommendations to the Board for final determination after public hearing.
BACKGROUND:
Mr. Philip L. -Smith has requested a General Plan amendment on this property from Single Family:
Residential High Density to 30+ acres of Commercial (Retail Business).and 25+ acres of Multiple
Family Residential High Density as shown on the attached map.
