SUBJECT: APPROVE STANDARD STATE AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA
STATE DEPARTMENT OF AGING (RE NO. 29-002-36)
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve and authorize the Director, Social Service Department, to
execute on behalf of the County Standard Agreement No. 29-002-36
with the California State Department of Aging in the amount of
. $454 for participant registration fees for the National Council on
Aging. This State Agreement term is March 5, 1985 through May 31, 1985.
II . FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the Standard State Agreement No. 29-002-36 will add $454
in Title IV-A Training Grant Older Americans Act monies to Office on
Aging budget to be used for participant registration fees for the
National Council on Aging. No County match is required.
III . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/_BACKGROUND
The National Council on Aging Annual Conference will take place in
California this year, therefore, the California State Department of
Aging through Standard Agreement No. 29-002-36 has granted the Office
on Aging $454 to be used for participant conference registration fees.
The $454 will be expended on six registrations--three at $90, three at
$30 and $94 for partial reimbursement of pre conference sessions or
special features as specified in Standard Agreement No. 29-002-36.
