HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04161985 - 1.1 TBE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on April 16, 19859 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors 'Powers , Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson h Fanden NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 3039 Supervisorial Districts IV h V SUBJECT: Speed Limits on PORT CHICAGO ) HIGHWAY (Road No. 3481C & 4371) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT: On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations thereon by the County Public Works Department's Traffic Engineering Division and pursuant to tete County Ordinance Code Chapter 46-2 (Sec. 46-2.002 ff.), this Board hereby determines that the present speed limit(s) established on the below-described road, a street within the criteria of Vehicle Code Section 22358 Ware) more than reasonable and safe, and hereby determines and declares that the following speed limit(s) is(are) most appropriate, reasonable, and safe prima facie speed limit(s) there: Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California Vehicle Code, no vehicle shall travel on PORT CHICAGO HIGHWAY (Road No. 3481 and 4371) in excess of: A. 40 miles per hour beginning at the intersection of Willow Pass Road and extending northerly and westerly to a point 700 feet west. of McAvoy Road; and, B. 45 miles per (hour beginning at a point 700 feet west of McAvoy Road and extending westerly to a point 500 feet west of the intersection of Driftwood Drive; and, C. 55 miles per hour beginning at a point 500 feet west of . Driftwood Drive and extending westerly to a point 500 feet-r,' west of the intersection of Main Street; and, D. 50 miles per hour beginning at a point 500 feet west of Main Street and extending westerly and southerly to a point 800 feet north of Leyte Street (Concord Naval Weapons Station Main Gate); and, E. 45 miles per hour beginning at a point 800 feet north of Leyte Street (Concord Naval Weapons State Main Gate) and extending southerly to the Concord City Limits.
