HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03191985 - T.6 TO: REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FROM: Agency Executive Director ;; ' Contra Costa DATE: March 18, 1985 County SUBJECT: In the matter of the sale of development rights to Station West RESOLl1TI0N N0.?RA 85-7 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION Redevelopment Agency staff has presented an agreement for sale of development rights owned by the Agency to Station West Associates which agreement provides for sale of development rights for 20,866.375 square feet of building at the price of $208 ,663 .75. The Agency has prepared a summary of the agreement and the Agency and the Board of Supervisors has held a public hearing to consider the agreement. The agreement would be in the best interests of the County and the Agency and would benefit the implementation of the Redevelop- ment plan for the Pleasant Hill BART Station Project Area. The. Agency finds that the purchase price Station West is to pay for the development rights is not less than the fair market value of those rights determined at the highest and best use permitted under the Redevelopment Plan. Therefore, the Agency hereby resolves that the Executive Director is authorized to enter into on behalf of the Agency an agreement with Station West Associates providing for the Agency to sell and Station West to purchase development rights for 20,866. 375 square feet of building for a purchase price of not less than $208 ,663.75 and for such other terms and conditions as the Executive Director deems fair and reasonable. The Agency hereby authorizes the Executive Director to execute any documents or take any actions necessary to carry out the agreement with Sation West Associates.
