LIST FOR FISCAL YEAR 1985/86

RECOMMENDATION
Approve Contra Costa County' s Transportation Development Act Article III Bicycle/Pedestrian
Priority List for Fiscal Year 1.985/86, and forward it to the Metropolitan Transportation
Commission (MTC) by April 1 for final approval and allocation of funding:

BACKGROUND
The Urban Systems Technical Advisory Committee (USTAC) composed of City, County and Caltrans
engineers, MTC and various transit authorities met on February 8, 1985, and approved the
1985/86 Bicycle/Pedestrian Priority List for Contra Costa County in accordance with Resolu-
tion No. 78/505. USTAC recommended the Board of Supervisors approve the list and forward
it to MTC for funding allocation.
On March 7, 1985 , the Contra Costa County Mayors' Conference met and approved the 1985/86
Bicycle/Pedestrian Priority List as recommended by USTAC.
On March 2.8, 1985 , the Priority List will be presented to the Contra Costa County Transpor-
tation Advisory Committee (CCTAC) .
Mr. James See, Public Works Director of the City of Pleasant Hill and Chairman of the
Bicycle Subcommittee for USTAC, recommended the Board approve the Priority List and forward
it to MTC.
