We met with the County Administrator and Assistant Health Services Director--
Environmental Health on July 9 and reviewed the proposed fees. We feel that all
of the frees are appropriate and recommend their approval. Because of the possible
impact of the "Jarvis IV" initiative on. some or all of these fees, the County
Administrator recommended that any increased revenue from any of the fees which
might be affected by "Jarvis IV" should not be spent until it is determined whether
the initiative passes.
.Mr. Simonsen from IT Corporation appeared and indicated his company has some
problems with the proposed increase in the hazardous waste tax which he would be
happy to try to negotiate with the County Administrator.
No other testimony was presented and, therefore, we are making the above
recommendations.
