SUBJECT: Assignment of Sheriff's Lieutenant to Lafayette Police
i
Dear Warren:
i
Per our recent conversation regarding the Lafayette City Coun
cil 's approval of the FY 84-85 Law Enforcement Services contract
if on June 25, 1984, the position of Police Lieutenant has been approved
ii as supervisor of Police in Lafayette. As you are aware, our pre-
ference is to retain Sergeant Michael Weymouth in that capacity
predicated on the successful outcome of his recent promotional exam.
i Pending receipt of those test results, I am requesting Sgt. Weymouth
be appointed Acting Lieutenant in charge of the Lafayette Police
effective July 1 , 1984 which is congruent with Council contract
authorizations.
! As always, your consideration of and assistance with these
matters.
ti truly y rs,
I
