Box 391 Martinez, CA 94553 SUBJECT: Assignment of Sheriff's Lieutenant to Lafayette Police i Dear Warren: i Per our recent conversation regarding the Lafayette City Coun cil 's approval of the FY 84-85 Law Enforcement Services contract if on June 25, 1984, the position of Police Lieutenant has been approved ii as supervisor of Police in Lafayette. As you are aware, our pre- ference is to retain Sergeant Michael Weymouth in that capacity predicated on the successful outcome of his recent promotional exam. i Pending receipt of those test results, I am requesting Sgt. Weymouth be appointed Acting Lieutenant in charge of the Lafayette Police effective July 1 , 1984 which is congruent with Council contract authorizations. !
