HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07101984 - 1.26 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF .CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on July 1 0, 1984 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Schroder, Torl,akson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: COMMENDATION - HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE It is by the Board Ordered that the members of the Contra Costa County Hazardous Materials Committee are commended for their outstanding success in implementing the 25 recommendations of the Interagency/Intergovernmental Hazardous Materials Task Force. On June 22, 1983 the Contra Costa County Disaster Council appointed a Hazardous Material Implementation Committee to develop an Implementation Plan for the 25 recommendations developed by the Task Force. The first committee meeting was held on July 27, 1983, and the committee has met on a regular monthly schedule to review; develop and implement the 25 Task Force recommendations. As of June 27, 1984 all 25 recommendations have been implemented thus increasing the county's effectiveness in responding to and recovering from hazardous material releases. The Hazardous Material Committee is recognized as a integral part of Contra Costa County's Hazardous Material Program and therefore, will continue meeting to monitor and support the program as necessary.
