THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on June 12, 1984 , by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson

ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Request for More Traffic Control in the
White Gate and Bryan Ranch Subdivisions
Supervisor Robert I. Schroder brought to the attention of
the Board a May 9, 1984 letter signed by Stan Felix, , President, and
six directors of the White Gate Home Owners Association, P.O. Box 134,
Danville 94526, advising that a committee comprised of representatives
of the White Gate and Bryan Ranch Homeowners Associations and the
Harold Smith Company (developer of said subdivisions) has been
exploring ways of solving a speeding problem on Stone valley Road in
the aforesaid subdivisions.
The committee believes that utilization of radar by the
California Highway Patrol (CHP) would greatly improve the effec-
tiveness of the CHP in alleviating the speeding situation, and have
indicated a willingness by their represented organizations to
contribute to the acquisition of the radar unit. The committee has
inquired if the County would like to participate in this endeavor.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the aforesaid request is -'
REFERRED to the Public Works Director.
