Sertich, Deputy Director, Administration Division, State Department of Social Services, 744 P Street, Sacramento 95814, transmitting information pertaining to the one year extension of AB 1733, Child Abuse Prevention Projects, and outlining particulars of said bill which are subject to approval of the budget bill and the signing of the Budget Act by the Governor. ***REFERRED TO SOCIAL SERVICE DIRECTOR AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR 3. 3 Letter from Dorothy G. Mutnick, Chairperson, Public Works Committee, Contra Costa County Grand Jury, transmitting a letter and report from Pacific Bell relating to the Interim Report on Data Processing, Data Communications and Voice Communications submitted by the Grand Jury on February 15, 1984. ***REFERRED TO PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AND COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR 3.4 Letter from Lynda Kilday, Chair, Family and Children' s ; Services Advisory Committee, urging support of SB 2003 (Royce) which would provide monies for recruiting and developing a quality foster home system, and enclosing a copy of a letter sent to all Senate Finance Committee mem- bers urging their support of said legislation. Supervisor N. C. Fanden advised that she supported SB 2003. ***REFERRED TO COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR AND COUNTY WELFARE DIRECTOR FOR RECOMMENDATION Continued on Page 2 uU�� 177 Board Order Page 2 Correspondence Agenda Item 3. 5 Letter from Walter Blumst, President, Advisory Council on Aging, expressing concern over delay of County Administrator in submitting 1984-1985 Area Agency on Aging Plan to the Board for review and approval. ***REFERRED TO COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR FOR REPLY 3. 6 Letter from Lou Borges, Mayor, City• of Pinole, 2131 Pear Street, Pinole 94564, advising that-: the City Council of the City of Pinole has adopted in concept the final report of the El Sobrante Area Traffic Advisory Committee, and urging implementation of concepts contained within said report. ***REFERRED TO PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR REPORT TO THE INTERNAL OPERATIONS COMMITTEE 3. 7 - Separate Board Order Issued - 3. 8 Letter from Chris Maggini, President, Orinda Association, P.O. Box 97, Orinda 94563, expressing appreciation for the Board' s attention to the Association's appeal of the Crossroads project, and urging the Board to maintain the integrity of the Orinda General Plan. ***RECEIVED AND FILED 3.9 Letter from C. E. Dixon, Interim County Administrator, transmitting the recommendations of J. Michael Walford, Public Works Director, and David Okita for the Ad Hoc Central County Waste to Energy Planning Committee with respect to the Acosta Co-Composting Proposal; Mr. Walford noted that County Counsel has advised his office of its concerns with the Acosta Proposal and has submitted a revised proposal more clearly spelling out the County' s rights. The revised proposal has been furnished to Mr. Acosta, and on receipt of a response the matter will be brought back to the Board. ***RECEIVED AND FILED 3. 10 Memorandum from J. Michael Walford, Public Works Director, transmitting a report entitled "Three Years Fleet Experience with Gasohol" prepared by L. M. Gibbs and J. C. Horn of the Chevron Research Company and Barton J. Gilbert of the Contra Costa County Public Works Department.
