HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06121984 - 1.1 (2) tO { tJ THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on June 12, 1984 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Orn t y i earmission to Partially Close Certain Streets , re The Public Works Director, having recommended that permission be granted to the Holy Ghost Committee to partially close (except for emergency traffic) O 'Hara Avenue, Home Street, Second-- Street and Fourth Street on July 15, 1984 for the purpose of conducting the annual Holy Ghost Parade. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the recommendation of the Public Works Director is APPROVED. The closure is subject to conditions set forth relative to parades in Resolution No. 4714, including a requirement that a certificate of insurance be furnished to the County ($500,000 combined single limit public liability and property damage, or an amount agreed upon by the County Administrator) and that the County is named as additional insured. IT IS BY THE BOARD FURTHER ORDERED that the Public Works Director is AUTHORIZED to request the State Department of Transportation to grant a partial closure of Highway 4 between Empire Avenue and Cypress Road for the parade. Highway 4 traffic will be detoured over Empire Avenue and Cypress Road. 1 hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
