HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05011984 - T.1 7= / C THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on May 1, 1984 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Schroder, To.rlakson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak ABSTAIN: - None RESOLUTION NO. 84/258 SUBJECT: Pipeline Franchise to Wickland Oil Terminals The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES that: This Board on March 20, 1984 adopted Resolution No. 84/161 declaring its intention to advertise and sell a franchise pursuant to Ordinance No. 1827 as amended by Ordinance No. 79-50 in the manner provided by law and as more particularly referred to in the Notice of Sale of Franchise attached to and made part of Resolution No. -84/161. The Board _ fixed May 1, 1984 as the date for receiving bids for the franchise. ' On May 1, 1984, the Board received a $2500 bid for the franchise from Wickland Oil Terminals. The Public Works Director recommended to the Board that the bid be accepted and the franchise granted to Wickland Oil Terminals. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the bid is accepted and that a franchise to install pipelines on certain County rights-of-way as described in the attached franchise agreement pursuant to Ordinance No. 1827 as amended by Ordinance No. 79-50 is HEREBY GRANTED to Wickland Oil Terminals; The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors is hereby AUTHORIZED to sign the franchise agreement with Wickland Oil Terminals; and The Public Works Director is DIRECTED to deposit with the County Treasurer the amount of the bid received from Wickland Oil Terminals. Furthermore, Wickland Oil Terminals is DIRECTED to reimburse the County $1949. 24for publication costs of the Notice of Sale of Franchise. I. duPont de Vemours and Company The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES that: This Board on March 20, 1984 adopted Resolution No. 84/162 declaring its intention to advertise and sell a franchise pursuant to Ordinance No. 1827 as amended by Ordinance No. 79-50 in the manner provided by law and as more particularly referred to in the Notice of Sale of _ . Franchise attached to and made part of Resolution No. 84/162. The Board fixed May 1, 1984 as the date for receiving bids for the franchise. On May 1, 1984, the Board received a $5000 bid for the franchise from Western Continental Operating Company and E. I. duPont de Vemours and Company. The Public Works Director recommended to the Board that the bid be accepted and the franchise granted to Western Continental Operating Company and . I. duPont de Vemours and Company.
