Supervisor Tom Torlakson, the Board' s representative on said Commission, reported this day that SB 2225 was reviewed by the Solid Waste Commission on April 18, 1984, but that there was no agreement as to a position to recommend. Supervisor Nancy C. Fanden advised that she had reservations with respect to adopting a position in support of said Legislation because she believed there may be some serious consequences to the residents in Contra Costa County if such a facility were constructed in this County, particularly if garbage from other counties was brought to a county plant for processing. She expressed the belief that each county should be responsible for the disposition of its own garbage within its own jurisdiction. Board members discussed the matter and were in agreement that the full Board should have an opportunity to consider said legislation on May 8, 1984, at which time all five Board members would be present. IT IS SO ORDERED. 1 hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken snd entered on tho minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown. ATTESTED: 11AA19 -?4_12.91__ J.R.
