RESOLUTION NO. 84/241
SUBJECT:- Granting a License to Viacom Cablevision
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES that:
WHEREAS Viacom Cablevision submitted an application for renewal
of a license to construct, operate and maintain a cable television system
within the Crockett-Rodeo, E1 Sobrante and San Pablo areas of Contra
Costa County in conformance with the provisions of County Ordinance No. 82-28;
WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors conducted a public hearing
on the application in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 82-28;
WHEREAS following the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors
approved yiacom Cablevision' s request for the renewal as contained in
the "License Application to Contra Costa County for those Franchise Areas
served by Crockett Cable System, Inc. and Contra Costa Cable Company, "
as submitted by Viacom Cablevision on December 12, 1983.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
hereby grants Viacom Cablevision a non-exclusive license pursuant to
Contra Costa County Ordinance No. 82-28;
That this license shall be for fifteen (15) years following
the date of acceptance of the license by Viacom Cablevision, providin
that such acceptance be received by the County no later than thirty (30?
days following the effective date of this resolution;
That the annual license fee shall be 3% (three percent) of
annual gross receipts, due and payable on February 1 of each year;
That Viacom Cablevision shall post with the County a maintenance
bond in the amount of $25,000, or other amount specified by the Public
Works Director and that a construction bond shall be posted with the
County prior to any new construction in an amount and under such conditions
to be determined by the Public Works Director; and
That the terms of the license (License Award Agreement) shall
be the license application dated December 12, 1983, the provisions of.
this resolution and the provisions of Ordinance No. 82-28.
