HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04201984 - X.5 X-3 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on March 20, 1984 , by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder , Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Victims Rights Week and National Child Abuse Prevention Month Supervisor Tom Powers having brought to the attention of the Board a letter he has received from Governor George Duekmejian relative to proclaiming April 15-21, 1984 as Victims Rights Week and the month of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and encouraging local jurisdictions to adopt proclamations and plan activities to help further the rights of crime victims and witnesses, as well as recognition of the needs of victims and families of child abuse; and On recommendation of Supervisor Powers, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the aforesaid information is REFERRED to the District Attorney to draft the aforesaid proclamations for Contra Costa County as well as to recommend appropriate activities or programs for the County. 1 hereby certify that this Is a true and correct copy of an salon taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors an the date shown.
