C. Fanden brought to the attention of the Board a problem with respect to an unpleasant order emitted from the Pacific Refining Company into the environment of the Rodeo- Hercules area and the unfavorable impact it is having upon the resi- dents in the area. Several residents appeared and spoke on the health problems they and other residents have been experiencing as a result of the noxious odor. Supervisor S. W. McPeak (the County' s representative on the Bar Area Air Quality Management District Board) suggested that a citizens group present its concerns at the BAAMQD meeting on April 18, 1984. On recommendation of Supervisor Fanden, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the County Administrator is REQUESTED to prepare a letter for the Chairman' s signature requesting the immediate resolu- tion of the problem at the Pacific Refining Company or shutting the refinery down to correct the problem.
