FROM: C. E. Dixon, Interim County Administrator Costa
l.b
DATE: March 12, 1984 irty
SUBJECT: Legislation: AB 2901 (Bradley)
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt a position of support for AB 2901.
BACKGROUND:
This bill would grant entities of local government or any employee of an entity of
local government immunity from liability for acts undertaken under the provisions
relating to emergency medical services or for any injury resulting from an act or
omission undertaken under those provisions.
County Counsel indicates that the addition of these specific immunities will help
protect the county and its employees from liability for any actions taken in
relation to the emergency medical services program and should, therefore, be
supported by the Board of Supervisors.
