The Public Works Director has advised that:
I. The Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended (Public Utilities
Code 99200 et seg. ) , provides for the disbursement of funds from
the Local Transportation Fund of the County of Contra Costa for
use by eligible claimants for the purpose of paratransit services;
and
2. Pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, and pursuant to the applicable
rules and regulations thereunder (21 California Administration Code
6600 et seg. ) a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation
from the Land Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and
3. The County Counsel has verified in a memo dated March 15, 1984 that
the County of Contra Costa is an eligible claimant for TDA, Article
4.5 funds; and
4. TDA, Article 4.5 funds in the amount of $51,670 will be required
by the County of Contra Costa in Fiscal Year 1984-85 for paratransit
services in the San Ramon Valley in cooperation with the Cities
of San Ramon and Danville, which are expected to pass resolutions
approving the County' s claim for their respective shares of TDA,
Article 4.5 funds; and
5. The Paratransit Coordinating Council, at its meeting on February 27,
1984 passed a resolution recommending that the Metropolitan Trans-
portation Commission allocate $51,670 of TDA, Article 4.5 funds
for paratransit services in the San Ramon Valley.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the Public Works Director or his
designee is AUTHORIZED to file a claim for TDA, Article 4.5 funds, together
with all necessary supporting documents, with the Metropolitan Transportation
Commission in the amount of $51,670 for Fiscal Year 1984-85.
