March 13, 1984 b thefollowin vote: Adopted this Order on , - 9 AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, McPeak , , Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: None r ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Election Campaign Reform Ordinance The League of Women Voters of Diablo Valley having submitted a letter to the Board asserting that two items were omitted from the Election Campaign Reform Ordinance; namely: (1 ) that the nature of the business engaged in by the employer of a campaign contributor must be disclosed when it is not otherwise obvious from the name of the company; and (2) that a fine of $100 be assessed against a contributor (candidate) who files a disclosure statement late; and Mr. Ted Nelson of Crockett having addressed the Board regarding concerns he still has with some of the language in the Ordinance; and County Counsel having filed a memorandum with the Board including proposed amendments to the Ordinance to deal with the issues raised by the League of Women Voters; IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the comments of Mr. Nelson and the letter from the League of Women Voters are referred to the Assistant County Registrar and County Counsel for report back to the Board, and the memorandum from County Counsel dated March 13, 1984 is also referred to the Assistant County Registrar for report to the Board.
