SUBJECT: Buchanan Corporate Properties
West Side Development
Sally Ride Drive Extension
The Public Works Director having advised that Buchanan Corporate
Properties, a tenant on Buchanan Field Airport, is nearing completion of
its Corporate Hangar project on the West Side Development area; and has
requested that certain paving improvements scheduled by County for construction
in Fiscal Year 1984-85 be constructed now to upgrade and improve access
to Tenant' s site and the appearance of the area. It h.as been determined
it would be of benefit to the County to have said paving improvements con-
structed at the present time as part of the current Terminal Road Extension
project (Sally Ride Drive).
In consideration of the immediate construction of these improvements,
Buchanan Corporate Properties will fund the cost in the amount of $50,500
by February 17, 1984, under the terms of an Improvement Agreement provided
the County shall reimburse these funds, plus 12 percent interest, not later
than February 17, 1985.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the Chairman of the Board is AUTHORIZED
to execute an Improvement Agreement for the extension of Sally Ride Drive
with Buchanan Corporate Properties; and the Public Works Director is AUTHORIZED
to execute Change Order No. 4 in the amount of $50,500.00 for the Terminal
Road Extension Project.
