SUBJECT: Invitation for Applications for Housing.
Under Section 202 Direct Loan Program
The Board having received a notice from the Department
of Housing and Urban Development , San Francisco Operations Branch,
advising that applications will be accepted from nonprofit organi-
zations for rental or cooperative housing under the Section 202
Direct Loan Program for Housing for the Elderly or Handicapped,
and further advising of a February 9, 1984 workshop for prospective
applicants ;
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the aforesaid notice
is REFERRED to Executive Director, County Housing Authority.

FUND RESERVATIONS
The Department of Housing and Urban Development will accept applications
from nonprofit organizations for rental or cooperative housing under the
Section 202 Direct Loan Program for Housing for the Elderly or Handicapped
for the maximum number of units and loan authority identified below:

NON-METROPOLITAN AREA:

Notwithstanding the maximum number of units identified above, this office
has established a maximum unit limitation per individual application of 80
for the California Metropolitan area. (See the Application Package for
limitations applying to substantial rehabilitation and projects for the
nonelderly handicapped.)
Appropriate instructions, forms and other program information
are contained in an Application Package which may be obtained frau
the San Francisco HUD Office, One Embarcadero Center, Suite .1710, San
Francisco, California 94111.
• This office will conduct a workshop on Thursday, February 9, 1984,
from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Room 9C on the ninth floor of One Embarcadero
Center, San Francisco, California, for interested applicants to explain
the regulations and instructions governing the Section 202 program, to
distribute Application Packages and to discuss application procedures.
IF HAND DELIVERED, Applications must be received by 4:45 PM on
April 30, T9_84at Suite 1710 of One Embarcadero Center, San Francisco,
California.
IF MAILED, Applications must be received with a time and date stamp indi-
