Tax Transfer for Castle Hill) RESOLUTION NO. 84/ 84

(LAFC 83-35) )
WHEREAS, the Revenue and Taxation Code provides that when
responsibility for providing a service is transferred from one special
district to another, the Board of Supervisors shall determine the
amount of property tax revenues to be exchanged between the districts;
and :n
WHEREAS, the Castle Hill Boundary Reorganization (LAFC 83-35) u
involves concurrent annexation to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection
District and detachment from the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
of Contra Costa County does hereby DETERMINE that 100% of the property f
tax accruing to the San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District from the
affected territory of the Castle Hill Boundary Reorganization (LAFC 83-35)
shall be transferred to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
This Resolution does not change the property tax revenues accruing to r
other agencies servicing the subject territory or the affected agencies'
right to collect taxes for existing bonded indebtedness. The property
tax exchange agreement discussed above shall apply to affected territory
as submitted or revised by the Local Agency Formation Commission.

SUBJECT:
In the matter of designating and approving
Contra Costa Alliance for the Arts as RESOLUTION NO. 84/ 85
State Grant Recepient.
WHEREAS, the California State Legislature and the California
Arts Council established the State/Local Partnership Program
to encourage local arts and cultural planning and decision-
making; and to reach previously underserved constituencies;
and
WHEREAS, the California Arts Council has previously appropriated
funds for Contra Costa County to assist in the development of a
comprehensive arts plan meeting the State/Local Partnership
Program Guidelines; and,
WHEREAS, Contra Costa Alliance for the Arts has completed all
three phases of the plan as required in the State/Local Partnership
program; and
WHEREAS, Contra Costa Allaince for the Arts is designated and approved as the
permanent agency to act as a contractor on behalf of Contra Costa
County in developing and promoting arts and cultural programs
under the auspices of the California Arts Council State/Local
Partnership program for the arts (Resolution 81/524) .
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the President of Contra Costa
Alliance for the Arts is authorized to execute 1984-85 local
priorities grant contracts and block grant contracts with the
California Arts Council.
