Attached are five copies of a short form service contract amendment
and Board Order amending the contract with Mr. David M. Aldape adding
230 service units and $2,254 to the basic contract. This necessary
because the recent intensity of services has used available service
units faster than originally planned.

IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the Board Chairwoman is authorized

March 17, 1980, increasing units of service by 'an additional 179 hours of
service and Payment Limit by $837 for a new Payment Limit of $9,337.

Program Task !Force under a Community Services contract which expired
February 29, 1980. The Community Services Department requires 179 addi-
tional hours of service and has amended the contract accordingly. They
are submitting the amendment for approval. However, approval by your
department and signature by the Purchasing Agent are not appropriate,
because the overall dollar amount exceeds $6,500.
I am requesting that the amendment, as specified above, be submitted to
the Board of Supervisors for approval.

according to the following fee schedule:

9. Indemnification. The Contractor shall defend, save harmless and indemnify the County
and its officers, agents *and employees from all liabilities and claims for damages for
death, sickness or injury to persons or property, including, without limitation, all
consequential damages, from any cause whatsoever arising from or connected with the
operations or the services of the Contractor hereunder, resulting from the-conduct,
negligent or otherwise, of the Contractor, its agents or employees .
10. Legal Authority. This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following

Community Services Department as follows:

2. Review and recommend revising job descriptions On-going
and in the development of procedures for hiring
new professional staff as needed.
3. Review and analyze the overall effectiveness of On-going
the delegate agency in complying with their
revised work programs.
4. Provide training and technical assistance to the On-going
Board of Directors of delegate agencies and to
staff of those agencies which will improve the
agencies ability to implement their contracts with
the Community Services Department.
5. Work with other CSD staff in planning, implementa- On-going
tion and programmatic adjustments necessitated
by conditions -on the CSA funded grant.
6. Contractor will be assigned to work with individual' On-going
delegate agencies as needed.

consequential damages, from any cause whatsoever arising from or connected with the .
