Supervisor McPeak having brought to the Board's attention at the Adjourned Meeting, this date, her concern that the Governor was allegedly reducing or deleting funds from his proposed 1979-1980 budget which were intended for full implementation of AB 3052 (the Bates Bill ); and The Board having discussed the value of the innovative proposals having been previously submitted by the Board for "Bates Bill" funding; IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the Human Resources Director is to clarify the exact status of funding for the "Bates Bill" in the 1979-1980 proposed State Budget and having done so is to submit a telegram to the Governor of California on behalf of the Board of Supervisors indicating the Board's concern for any reduction in funding, and urging the Governor to fully fund AB 3052 in accordance with the original understandings between Assemblyman Bates and the State Administration. PASSED BY THE BOARD ON FEBRUARY 7, 1979. 1 hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an order entered on the minutas of said Board of Supervisors on the date aforesaid.
