status of County Hospital billing and accounts receivable
during upcoming Health Services Department 1985- 1986
budget hearing .

Crime Prevention Committee for the work done in developing

WATER COMMITTEE REPORTS:
W. 1 APPROVED in concept water conservation measures to regu-
late turf , plans and irrigation for all new developments;
ADOPTED future water conservation measures for County-owned
buildings and grounds; and AUTHORIZED the Chairwoman to
sign a letter to be sent to Congressman George Miller
urging Congress to take action relating to the Federal
Central Valley Project' s responsibility to meet water
quality standards .
W.2 ADOPTED position in support of proposed legislation SB 400 ,
fisheries restoration; SB 805 , wildlife and natural areas
conservation; and SCA 17, water resources development;
AUTHORIZED Chairwoman to sign letter to Assemblyman Steven
Peace regarding Delta representation on any task force
created by AB 955 , Delta Levee Failure Plan; and AUTHORIZED
Chairwoman to sign letter to Assemblyman Isenberg support-
ing the introduction of a bill to relocate the Contra
Costa Canal to the State Water Project facilities at
Clifton Court Forebay .
The Board ADOPTED a position in opposition to an isolated
water transfer system and REQUESTED the preparation of a
Certificate (signed by all Board members) to be sent to
the County' s legislators attesting to this policy state-
ment and urging their continued support in this area .

X . 1 (County Administrator) ADOPTED resolution opposing pro-
posed legislation SB 1091 (Campbell ) and requesting the
California State Senate to vote "no" on the bill .

to schedule a joint meeting of the Board of Supervisors
and the County Board of Education to discuss the crisis
occurring in our communities relating to human services
issues; APPOINTED Supervisor Fanden to work with the

relating to ambulance service agreement with Cadillac
Ambulance Service .
X . 13 (McPeak) AUTHORIZED Supervisor Sunne W. McPeak to
represent the Board of Supervisors at meeting with
government officials in Chilpancingo , State of Guerrero ,
Mexico May 18-29, 1985 and ADOPTED resolution commending
the Chilpancingo-Pleasant Hill Sister City Program .
X . 14 (Torlakson) REQUESTED the County Administrator to pro-
vide an analysis of the parental consent bills (AB 80 ,
SB 7 and SB 99) .
X . 15 (Torlakson) REQUESTED the County Administrator to send
a letter to the House and Senate Budget Committee Chairmen,
Senators Cranston and Wilson, and Congressmen Miller and
Dellums urging that funding of the soil conservation
programs remain at the current level .

Congressman George Miller urging that Federal Revenue
Sharing Program be retained through September 1986 .
