Relations, for Land Use and �
Transportation Study Project* )
WHEREAS the County of Contra Costa has previously requested
the State Counoil. on Intergovernmental. Relations to provide planning
assistance to it under California Government Code Sections 3 .200,
et seqo to undertake a Comprehensive Planning Assistance Project,
which is expected to be partially financed by Government under Section
701 of the Housing Act of 1954 as amended (83rd Congress, 2nd Session);
and
WHEREAS the State has accordingly prepared a proposed agree-
ment between the County of Contra Costa and State entitled "Agreement
Between the State of California and the County of 'Contra Costa
relating to Comprehensive Planning A,s istanee ` further indentified
as "385.27.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED as follows:
1. That James P. Kenny, Chairman of this Board, is hereby
authorized and directed to execute- the aforesaid agreement with the
State on behalf of the County of Contra Costa and the County agrees
to be bound by the terms thereof;
2. That should subsequent events indicate to the State the
necessity or desirability thereof, at the request of the State, the
Chairman of this Board of Supervisors is authorized to enter into and
execute on behalf of the County any amendment to this agreement pro-
pose►d by the State which does no more than extend the maximum period
for completion of any services to be performed by the County thereunder
to such date as is requested by the State and which does not extend
beyond the maximum completion date permitted by the Federal government
for Federal participation in the proje►et.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on February 9, 1971 by the following
vote of the Board:
AYES: Supervisors A. M. Dias, J. E. Moriarty,
W, N. Boggess, E. A. Lineoheid, .J. P. Kenny.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
