the Veneral Disease Controllers of the State of
California recently requested that each County proclaim AP&I, 1971 ,
as V.D. Agareness Month; and
WHEREAS Veneral Disease in the County of Contra Costa is
on the increase as it is in the State of California and throughout
the nation; and
-411E'REAS r.luring the month of April, widespread information
will be available in all 12 ,000 pbarmacles in California, in the
press , on television , to radio, bumper stickers, bus placards ,
billboard 06= an other efforts;
NOW, THS ERESURE, BE IT RES0LV:,'_,"D that the Board of Super-
Vi8ors of the County of Contra Costa 3oes hereby proclaim the month
of April , 1971 Awareness Month, and recognizes the efforts
of the Bay Area Veneral Disease Association in Northern California,
the connittee for Eradication of Syphilis in Northern California
and the pharmaceutical Association in California to make all commu-
nities aware of the 'Ieneral Disease problem and the program for its
control.
