HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012003 - 2003-605 r ^ ��✓' i cis/ t_i��1 t-, C/0- In the Matter of the Retirement of ) Patricia Sue Ford, DA Senior Inspector ) RESOLU'T'ION NO. 2003/605 WHEREAS, Patricia (Trish) Ford is retiring from her position as DA Senior Inspector with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office on October 31, 2003; and WHEREAS, Trish was initially hired by the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office as a Deputy Sheriff on October 9, 1973 by Sheriff Harry Ramsay; and WHEREAS,Trish excelled in each of her assignments with the Sheriff which included assignments in the Detention Division, Transportation Division, Patrol Division, 'and the Detective Division (including the distinction of being the first female assigned to Narcotics in Contra Costa. County), and was promoted to Sergeant on June 29, 198'7; and WHEREAS, Trish was selected for and assigned to the District Attorney's Office as a Sergeant/Investigator on January 18, 1999, and was later hired by Gary T. Yancey as a DA Senior Inspector on July 1, 2000, where she has performed very challenging assignments in Statutory Rape and Domestic Violence and continually exhibited excellence and pride in her work as she has done throughout her career; and WHEREAS,Trish,in additional to the professional demands as a peace officer, found a way to attend college and obtain her Bachelors' Degree in Business Management from Saint Mary's College in 1995 and a Juris Doctorate Degree from John F. Kennedy School of Law in 2001,and still managed to remain active in her hobbies that include riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle, snowboarding and golfing; and WHEREAS, Trish has dedicated 30 years of excellent service to the citizens of Contra Costa County through her tenure with the Sheriffs Office serving for Sheriffs Ramsay, Rainey and Rupf, and the District Attorney's Office serving for District Attorneys Yancey and Kochly; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board takes great pleasure in congratulating Patricia (Trish) Ford on her valuable service to the community and wishes her many wonderful, exciting and fulfilling years of retirement.
