HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012003 - 2003-476 THE BOARD OF SUPER'V'ISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this'R.esolution on August 5,2003 by the following vote: AYES: SUPERVISORS GIOIA, UILKEMA, GREENBERG, GLOVER AND DESAULNIER NOES: NM ABSENT: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE RESOLUTIONNO. 2003/ 476 SUBJECT: Ratify prior decision of the Public Works Director to partially close a portion of Bethel Island Road on July 19, 2003 and July 20,2003 from 9:00 a.m.through 6:40 p.m.,for the purpose of the 16th Annual 50's Bash Car and Motorcycle Show,Bethel Island area. (District V) RC-03-12 The Public Works Director having reported that prior approval has been granted to Bethel Island Chamber of Commerce to partially close Bethel Island Road,except for emergency traffic,on July 19, 2403 and July 20, 2403 for the period of 9:00 a.m. through 6:00 p.m., subject to the following conditions: I. Traffic will be detoured via adjacent lanes per plan approved by Public Works Department, 2. All signing to be in accordance with the State of California Manual of Traffic Controls. 3. Bethel Island Chamber of Commerce shall comply with the requirements of the{ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Have on file with the County Public Works Department at the Application and Permit Center a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of$1,000,040 for Comprehensive General Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured. 5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department,the California Highway Patrol and the Fire District. IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that the action taken by the Public Works Director is approved.
