SnVfhey will retire from the City of Pleasant Hill Police Department after 30 years of exemplary service,and wmzms Lieutenant,Waml G. Smithey started his dedicated service with the City of Concord Police Department for four years as a Police Cadet, He then became a Pleasant Hill Police Officer in 1973, a Police Corporal in 1985,a Police Sergeant in 1991 and was then promoted to Police Lieutenant in 2001;and WIME46; Lieutenant Michael G. Smrthey's career included assignments in Parrot, Investigations, Training and Support Services,and W.I`LEREA,, Lieutenant Mchad G. Smithey has contributed to the betterment of the Department by completing his BA degree while employed by the City;and 971JE FA,S, Lieutenant Aficbad G. Smithey has held a variety of positions with the Law Enforcement Training Advisory Committee, Technical Advisory Committee, Regional Hazardous Material Response Organization, National Association of Field Training Officerr,and WhERFA,S Lieutenant Michael G. Smithey has been instrumental in training Department personnel, as well as being an outstanding representative of the Pleasant Hill Police Department while assigned as the Recruit Training O,f ficer of the 133d Class of the Los Medanos Police Academy.
