SUBJECT: ADOPT Resolution No. 2003/4 2 3 approving Notice of Intention to purchase real property
located at 1220 Morello Avenue, Martinez, and determine that the purchase is exempt from the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act(CEQA).

The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
It intends to purchase from Earl W. Baca and Arthur K. Baca, for County purposes, the real property
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for $2,650,000, in accordance with Section 20 of the terms and
conditions of the Second Modification of Lease Agreement between the County of Contra Costa and Earl W.
Baca and Arthur K. Baca, dated May 19, 1992 and amended on May 20, 1997 and July 14, 1998, which is a fair
and reasonable price therefor. A copy of said agreement is on file in the General Services Department, Lease
Management Division.
This Board will meet on July 22, 2003, at 9:30 AM in the Board's Chambers, County Administration
Building, Martinez, California, to consummate this purchase and the Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to
publish the attached notice in the Contra Costa Times pursuant to Government Code Section 6063.
This Board hereby FINDS that this activity will not have a'significant effect on the environment, and
that it has been determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under State CEQA
guidelines Article 5, Section 15061 (b)(3). This Board DIRECTS the Director of Community Development to
file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk, and DIRECTS the Public Works Director to arrange for
payment of the $25.00 fee to the County Clerk for filing and a $25.00 fee to Community Development for
processing of the Notice of Exemption.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY
Ile Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County declares its intention to purchase from Earl W.
Baca and Arthur K. Baca at a price of $2,650,000, the real property located at 1220 Morello
Avenue, Martinez, with buildings containing approximately 14,390 square feet of floor space on
approximately .87 acres of land located at Martinez, California and more particularly described
in Resolution No. 2003/ 4 2 3 of the Board, and will meet at 9:30 AM on July 22, 2003, in its
Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to
consummate the purchase.
