HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012003 - 2003-192 (e2 6W�, F In the Matter of.National Healthcare Volunteer Day in Recognition) Of the John Muir Medical Center Auxiliary and Volunteers on April ZS,20(}3} RESOLUTION NO.2003/192 WHEREAS,John Muir Medical Center Auxiliary and Volunteers have provided services within the Medical Center and to citizens of Contra Costa County since 1%5 when John Muir Medical Center opened;and WHEREAS,more than 900 volunteers were involved in providing service during 2002;and WHEREAS,these volunteers provided a combined total of over 147,!300 service hours in 2007;and WHEREAS,these volunteers bring their"special touch" throughout the Medical Center and throughout the service area in Contra Costa County,assist patients and visitors during periods of acute illness;provide valuable support to the Medical Center staff;raise funds for state-of-the-art equipment for the Medical center and outreach programs;and provide community services and social supvort to seniors in their,homes in Central,East and South Contra Costa County: NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County recognizes and honors the John Muir Medical Center Auxiliary and Volunteers for their selfless efforts and proclaims April 2t3,2003,as National Healthcare Volunteer Clay in Contrai Costa County. PASSE by a unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors members present this first day of Aprfl 2003.
