HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012003 - 2003-109 IN RECOGNITION OF THE DEDICATION RESOLUTION NO. 2003/109 AND SERVICE OF MAXINE ERWIN AND HER BEING NAMED THE SAN PABLO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WOMAN OF THE YEAR WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin was born in Pt. Richmond, and grew up in San Pablo where she still lives;and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin was the eighth of 12 children to immigrant parents; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin worked for 18 years with her husband, William Erwin, at Erwin's Automotive in San Pablo pumping gas, checking oil, and cleaning windshields among other duties; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin was a member of the service club the Dorians for ten years; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin volunteered for teen programs at the Canal Recreation Center; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is an active member of the.City of San Pablo Beautification Board, and has been for 20 years;and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin served on the San Pablo Community Foundation Board; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is a member of the San Pablo Senior Center; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is a charter member and board secretary of the West County Music Society; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin has volunteered for the San Pablo Chamber of Commerce for the past three years; and WHEREAS,Maxine Erwin is the proud mother of four children, grandmother of seven children, and great-grandmother of four; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County hereby recognizes the contributions of Maxine Erwin to the city of San Pablo. PASSED by unanimous vote of the Board of Supervisors members present on this 18`h day of March 2003.
