In the Matter of Honoring Nancy Whaley ?
on her Retirement from the )
Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District ) RESOLUTION NO. 2003157
UHEREAS, Nancy Whaley, is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Conservation of Natural Resources; and
WHEMS, Nancy Whaley, prior to entering the Meld of aging and leisure services, worked
in environmental education for Sacramento County Parks Department and Lindsey Wildlife
Museum in Walnut Creek; and
WH'EMS, Nancy Wlxaley has served as Recreation Supervisor for the Pleasant Hill Senior
Center for 20 years. Nancy "aley has directed and developed an outstanding senior program
for the people of this community; and
WEl'EMS, under Nancy fMaley's le�hip, the Pleasant Hill Senior Center has received
numerous awards for the many varied programs it offers. Nancy "aley has doubled the
number of programs offered to the senior community and has developed one of the top senior
Programs in the State of California; and
WHEMS, Nancy "aley's caring for seniors and her love for people of all ages is one of
her many outstanding traits that are displayed on a daily basis; and
VVHEMS, Nancy "aley will be truly missed by all of those she serves and with whom
she works.
NOW THEREFORA BE IT RESOL VED that this Board of Supervisors of the County of
Conga Costa in the State of California commends Nancy Whaley for her years of dedicated
service; and
.BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board does hereby extend to Nancy Whaley its
best wishes on spending her retirement in Aptos, California.
PASSED"AND ADOPTED ON Tuesday, February 11, 2003, by a unanimous vote of the
Board members present.
