Lynnet Auker Keihl
for her Civic Contributions RESOLUTIONNO. 20021770
WHEREAS, Lynnet Keihl has served as Concord's City Clerk since 1985;
and
WHEREAS, Lynnet Keihl as a Certified Municipal Clerk has kept the
public notified of Concord City Council meetings and numerous other civic and
governmental events, processed all documents following every Council
meeting also recording ordinances, resolutions, deeds and contracts; and
V M.EREAS, Lynnet Keihl has kept the public record and made it available
to all under the Public Records Act in a most gracious manner; and
WMEREAS, Lynnet Keihl has also managed City elections in compliance
with the Political Reform Act since 1985; and
WHEREAS, Lynnet Keihl has served as a Concord Planning
Commissioner from 1977 to 1978 and from 1981 to 1985 and was campaign
co-manager for the successful Lime Ridge Bond Measure Committee to fund
194 acres of open space for $1.95 million; and
WHEREAS, Lynnet Keihl participated in the CORO Foundation Public
Affairs Training Program for Women, an intensive examination of forces
creating public leadership,focusing on politics, business, labor, media and the
community; and as a past president of the Concord branch of the American
Association of university Women;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors
does hereby recognize Lynnet Auker Keihl for her many years of
outstanding public service and wish her well in all her future endeavors.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on December 17, 2oo2 by a unanimous vote of the
Board members.present.
