HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012002 - 2002-752 v Colima Costa Count Cud arflia In tke Mafter of Recognizing,7nd 1710170 nq Chi-i1_61717 Linville foorMany Ye?ts ofrSemice Excellences RESOLUTION NO.2002/752 WHEREAS, after 22 years of dedicated service to Contra Costa County, Christina Linville, Deputy County Administrator, has accepted the position of Executive Director to the Children and Families Commission in 5014no County; WHEREAS, Christina Linville has held a series of increasingly responsible positions during her tenure witl Contra Costa County, beginning as an Eligibility Worker, moving through the ranks to become Deputy County Administrator with responsibility for projects that build and sustain systems of services that result in improved outcomes for children and families; WHEREAS; a few of Christina Linville's more notable achievements include: ■ Welfare Reform u- Chris led the redesign of the then Social Services Department's organizational structure and service delivery models that transformed the County's wel6re program into a comprehensive system of supports to move families from welfare-to-work ■ Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence -- Chris has spearheaded the multi-agency implementation of this County policy, forging new relationships, systems and outcome-based reporting that has garnered statewide recognition ■ Contra Costa Futures v Chris has shepherded the strategy for increasing prevention/early intervention services that has resulted in increased funding, new service delivery models and a pilot of data based accountability ■ After5chool4All - Chris crafted this initiative to partner with community based organizations in providing afterschool services, as well as the collaborative $1 million award for afterschool programs ■ Children and Families Policy Forum -Chris has staffed this interagency community- wide collaborative that initiates and coordinates activities to improve the well being of children, families and communities; WHEREAS, in all of these endeavors, Christina Linville has exhibited the dualities of leadership, collaboration, innovation, dedication and persistence and has made a difference in our County organization an4 for the people we serve; THEREFORE BE 17-RESOLVED, that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors recognizes and horrors Christina Linville for her many years of service excellence.
