HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012002 - 2002-707 i .. tt AzDa J • RESOLUTION HONORING RESOLUTION NO, 2002/707 COUNCILMEMBER TERRY SEXTON SEGERBERG FOR HER COMMITMENT TO THE RESIDENTS OF HERCULES BOTH AS MAYOR AND AS A CCOUNCILMEMBER WHEREAS,Terry Segerberg was elected to a four-year term on the Hercules City Council in November 1994 an re-elected in November 1998. She has served as Mayor and Chair of the Hercules RDA in 1997, 1999 and 2001; and WHEREAS, Councillnember Segerbdrg has placed a high priority on involving citizens in the decision making process and has continually supported and facilitated the involvement of residents and community groups in prr jects, programs and activities that make Hercules a desirable place to live; and WHEREAS, Councilmember Terry Segerberg has represented the•City on the West Contra Costa Transportation Advisory Committee, WestCat,Pinole Hercules Youth Sports Committee, Franklin Canyon Steering Committee, and the West County Mayors and Supervisor's.Association; and W1HEREAS, Terry Segerberg has found time to share her energy and insight with the Chamber of Commerce, tht Rotary Club, our Sister City Tsushima,Japan and most importantly, her family; and V `HEREAS, Terry Segerberg has continued her commitment to the improvement of Highway 4 for the safety ofit's users, and through her advocacy has been instrumental in advancing the schedule for completion of Phase 1 of the Highway improvement project and to insure the need for the full freeway remains a project; and WHEREAS, there have been many accomplishments during Terry Segerberg's tenure, too numerous to name them all. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVER that we honor and thank S p 4exxm �T_ TeY44T Fiat her medicated service and commitment to her community and to the County of ContraCosta.
