HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012002 - 2002-660 ol ga4lvexw� RE,SOLLITION HONORING THE VOLUNTEERS RESOLUTION NO. 20021660 t F ROSSMOOR WALNUT CREED 'A EREAS, the over 122 volunteer organizations, composed of in excess of 1,500 Rossmoor residents have served as an exemplary example of the positive contributions seniors can make in our Community. Their continuing efforts have provided an impressive period of distinguished volunteer service to Contra Costa CEunty and its residents, in the performance of their dedicated work, and AN,HEREAS, Rossmoor non-profit organizations,clubs and other groups, using their initiative and joint efforts, reulted in enhanced community, resident communication,relations and quality of life, along with modeling everyday efforts of commendable leadership and sharing; and VVHEREAS, the honored volunteer organizations have spearheaded a multitude of projects which benefit the community in the past,now and for future years. The achievements include groups for socializing and m1reation,for promoting the arts along with critical community work of people helping people, and WI the Rossmoor volunteers' dedication and excellence is acknowledged th%ugh their activities at thy;city and county levels which allow utilization of powerful senior human resources along with a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to be shared with others,increasing the quality,of life for all involved; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra,Costa County does hevby commend the Rossmoor residents participating in volunteerism for their impressive accomplishments and public service.
