HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012002 - 2002-507 I, 1 01 Contra Costa County THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on snnEm 24, 2002 , by the following vote: AYES: SUPE ISM U7IMA, Gam, DeSAUtNM, GLOM AM GI07A NOES: 1 ABSENT: N= ABSTAIN: wn RESOLUTION NO. _2002(;507 SUBJECT: In the Matter of the 2002 Contra Costa County Charity Campaign WHEREAS, Combined Health Charities of California, Bay Area Black United Fund, Earth Share of California, Local Independent Charities and The United Way of the Bay Area, will soon begin their 2002 fund raising campaigns; and WHEREAS these organizations provide vitally needed community services designed to ease human suffering, improve personal health and protect our environment; and WAEREAS this Board endorses a single fund raising drive among County employees to allow them the opportunity to donate to these charitable organizations; NOW, THEREFORE, this Board RESOLVED that Tony Collin, Director of Community Services, is designated as Chairperson, and, Steven Bautista, County Probation Officer as Co-Chairperson, for the 2002 Charity Drive Campaign among County employees; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all County employees are urged to donate, within their means, to the Chanty Charity Drive to help support the worthwhile programs administered by the participating organizations. PASSED and ADOPTED on September 24, 2002 by a unanimous vote of the Board members present.
