HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01012002 - 2002-229 a THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on April 16, 2042, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Gerber, Uilkema, DeSaulnier, Glover and Gioia NOES: ' None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None RESOLUTION NO. 2002/229 SUBJECT: AUTHORIZE the submittal of regional applications on behalf of specified municipalities to the California Integrated Waste Management Board for Oil Recycling Block Grants for a period of five fiscal years,Countywide. (All Districts) The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County as the Governing Body of the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District on behalf of the Contra Costa Clean Water Program RESOLVES THAT: WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act that provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage recycling or appropriate disposal of used oil; and WHEREAS,the California Integrated Waste Management Board has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing application by cities and counties under the program; and WHEREAS, the applicant for itself and on behalf of the following participating jurisdictions will enter into an agreement with the State of California for implementation of a regional used oil collection program; I hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an DPF:kh action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of G:�G,pnataWDE"O_laes_contracts Agr.t\ Supervisors on the date shown. (All Districts) DATE: April 16, 2002 PAGE: 2 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, on behalf of the Contra Costa Clean Water Program, authorizes the submittal of regional applications on behalf of the Cities of Clayton, Concord, Danville,Lafayette,Moraga,Orinda,Pleasant Hill,San Ramon and Walnut Creek to the California Integrated Waste Management Board for the Used Oil Recycling Block Grant, Fiscal "Years 2002/2007. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Engineer,Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District,on behalf ofthe Contra Costa Clean Water Program,or its designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute in the name of the participating jurisdictions all necessary applications, contracts, payment requests, agreements and amendments hereto for the purposes of securing grant funds and to implement and carry out the purposes specified in the grant application.
